The sun was shining here beautifully yesterday and I made the most of a lovely hour pottering about first thing, enjoying the bits and pieces we've got about the house, when I realised what a collection of tins I'm gathering.
Enamel versions are my favourite but anything with a pretty shape or pattern grab my eyes and make my purse jump out of my bag straight away!
Round tins for cakes, tins for headache & indigestion tablets, hay fever remedies & vitamins, tins for biscuits, tins for pegs, tins for pens & paintbrushes, tins for seed packets, old birthday cards, notes and treasured, scribbled pictures drawn by tiny hands, and to be honest pretty much anything else I find/can't bear to throw out and just have to squirrel away!
The Matthew Bridgewater lunchbox tins have to be my favourites and really cheer up my dull, desk-bound lunch in the office. There's something extra delicious about munching salad or sandwiches wrapped in greaseproof paper from a tin painted with allotment gardens. Much cheerier than Tupperware if you ask me!

Great great tins, i love them all but really love the russian doll one, thats on my bday list!! x
I'm totally obsessed with tins but now it's so bad that I actually spend longer looking for things because I've decanted them into a tin and can't remember which one!
Have a lovely week, roll on the Easter hols.

What a fab collection :)
one of my little chaps has the EB men at work lunch tin...I love it!!! Thinking of getting another to use as a first aid tin..
I agree - weekends fly past - our major decorating is very close to being finished so we have decided that from now on only half a day doing pooey jobs the rest is for fun!!!
Oh I love your tins!! So gorgeous! Lucy x
Lovely tins! I'm getting terrible now and think more about the tins than the contents when I'm buying things.
Twiglet has the Men at Work money box and lunchbox, it's fab!

Hi
Lol my partner David was peering over my shoulder as I was reading, - he got to the bit about your hairdresser just as I did and told me that there are country living magazines in our doctors waiting room and he was enjoying one just before he went in!! I thought he had been converted until I realised he just doesn't get the tin thing. oh well, you can't win them all ;O)

Ahhhh enamel tins, you can never have enough, that and shoes, bags, coats...
Lovely post hope everyone feels better soon or is it just the dreaded 'man flu'?
Have a lovely week,

ps. said birthday may be later in the week!!!
Hello Steph. I love your tins and am a big fan of Matthew Bridgewater's work myself. I had a wonderful calender of his last year and loved it for the spelling errors as much as anything!. Have a lovely week xx
Tins are very useful and pretty to boot, Daniel had a tin of cadburys choc fingers for christmas.... guess who snagged the tin that is in the shape of a van? yep... I am a bad mummy! lol
Beautiful collection you got there though, I wish we had a local antiques market!

You have some really pretty tins. I have a small collection, but always feel the need to fill them with homemade cakes and biscuits which do nothing for the waistline. xxx
I love tins and your are utterly beautiful.
I love tins too, and have had to promise not to buy any more until the ones we have are full! I'm working on it!

O.K. I admit it! I'm a tin addict too. I love the Matthew Rice tins too and have a lovely one with hearts and another lovely one with a union flag. There is the odd occasional sigh when I return home with another one for the collection.

So many fine tins =)
I love your collection of tin ware...lovely, they are so bright and cheerful..xxx
Hi Steph, I too have loads of tins. I was going to get them together and do a post on them so i'll let you know when so that you can pop over. Most of mine belonged to my grandparents and were full of things (that I have saved) like buttons, needles etc.
Sounds like a great weekend! - I bought a lovely first aid tin recently (I posted a pic on my blog about a week ago) and I've currently got my eye on the set of 4 Cath Kidston ones - Have a good week - Natalie x
What a fab collection!
I love the russian doll one, actually, I love them all. I have tin envy lol!
Enjoy the rest of your week.

I have collected tins for years! When we moved to our current house, I just had soooo many, that I decided to get rid of some of them. However, I have started adding more to the collection...just bought a wonderful red one yesterday! I'll post at my blog soon. Enjoy all of yours, and I'll do the same.

Rebecca
Hi Steph I forgot to reply - sorry. The CK brochure is the latest edition of the magazine she now produces. Hope that helps,
