Smiley Things

1 = New mixing bowls. Bright. Cheerful. Melamine. And a bargain from the big, orange supermarket.
2 = Springy things beside my bed.
3 = A mountain of pretty pillows to sink into later and rest my head.
4 = Ancient gardening wisdom and a very pretty primula.
5 = Learning all about bats.
6 = Knowing that tomorrow is my day off work and looking forward to tea & cakes & chatter with my lovely, rather overdue, sister before the bump arrives. I have the hot water and towels on standby!

Have a lovely week.

Love the mixing bowls - such a brilliant way to brighten up the kitchen. Will be heading down to the big orange supermarket to find some for myself! :)

Very happy things indeed. Your primrose is so pretty, especially sitting in that blue and white stripped dish. I remember when my son studied bats, I think it was in third grade. :-)

do you know, I didn't know babby bats were as big as bumbulbees. You lean something new every day.
Husband is being despatched to the orange supermarket at work tomorrow. I LOVE the mixing bowls. Would you consider a potential house/life swap?!

Love the writing about bats - so sweet. It's lovely to look back on those early efforts years later when they're all grown up ... so make sure you keep it in a safe place!

Lots of lovely things but my favourite is the bat book - something to bring out when they are 18 me thinks :)

They are making me smile too!Ooooh,I could sink into those pillows right now! I wonder...did you make the pretty floral lampshade on your bedside table? I want to make one myself but not sure how to go about it.The ones I've seen in the shops are soooo expensive.
Have a lovely day off!

Ooh the photo of your pillows is just heavenly - could be that I'm feeling kind of sleepy ...

Have fun with your sister tomorrow - avoid raspberry tea or you may end up actually using your towels!

I love those bowls too. Would it be very bad of me to accidently break my old boring ones so I can get some lovely new ones?

When is your sister's baby due? Perhaps there's something about March babies because this time last year my little cherub was already a week overdue and then still didn't arrive for another 10 days!
