Cheering Up

Two days in bed with the lurgy is no fun at all when the sun is shining.
But a cold is only a cold and today I was feeling much brighter and the sun was still out miraculously.

Time to celebrate, despite the sniffles and the need for plenty of sit downs and cups of coffee. So with my pyjamed-under-gardener for company, we set-to giving some very hungry (and worryingly gangly looking) seedlings new homes, put up the hazel wigwams for the sweet peas and climbing beans and sowed salads in colanders and old wooden troughs,
There's nothing like some new cold frames, precious aimless chatter with a five year old and a vintage, St Michael frock (found on ebay for a bargain) to see off the fluey-blues and make me feel cheery again. xxx

Nothing can keep a good gardener down for long Steph. At first I thought your dress was a pinny, absolutely stunning and I'm going to admit to envy as it's just such a lovely floral.

No rain here all weekend, we've been so happy. By the way I've got a Craft it Forward giveaway going on on my blog if you fancy it.

Glad you are starting to feel better.

I've spent the last couple of days wandering around stores looking for something new and colourful to wear, something that looks cheery and happy. If I'd seen your dress it would be hanging in my closet!! It's just lovely!

It was a beautiful Mothers Day here on Ontario, Canada. Blue skies and warm temperatures.

Love the frock - so pretty :)

My current style is frock over jean with either maryjanes or converse. I've a 'vintage' ladies woolworths frock I found that I've altered - planning that over jeans too :)

Hope you are on the mend now! Beautiful frock, and it's always lovely to chatter to a five year old! My youngest is at that age, and it's so much fun to have conversations with him. He only ever stops for a quick breath and is silent when only sleep arrives. I wouldn't have it any other way! You garden sounds like it will be amazing when in full bloom! Wish the same could be said for mine!

Have a beautiful day!

I hope you are feeling better. What a lovely dress. I am often to be found first thing in the morning wearing a similar outfit in the garden to your under gardener!

What a gorgeous frock - I've been wearing something similar today, though with jeans and cardi and all that warm stuff as it's still far too cold for me.

Thanks for the info - we do have various cloches, but it was these particular ones I was after - well style.

take care and 'oh yes' you must visit - you would absolutely love it - definitely your kind of place.
