Simple December Pleasures

Bright bauble lights that I popped on the dresser to test that they worked, but somehow can't bear to take down. The festive season has begun.
Deep, deep snow. Even the shed looks pretty.
Scarlet berries and evergreen leaves against the crisp white snow.
My view; growing more magical by the day.

I'm beginning to wish we had more snow! Whatever direction the weather comes from it only just gets to us so we have barely an inch of snow.
Maybe we'll have some more tomorrow. What I do know is that it will still be very very cold.

Your decorations look perfect with the all the snow.

These pictures were food for my soul! I adore the berries, the contrast of red and white and the delicacy of the ice and the last photo of the tree skeletons just amazed me too, beautifully photographed. Thank you.

How beautifully you have taken this first day of December, and the weather all around, and shown us how to enter into the Christmas season with style, fun, and beauty.

And we have......rain. sigh. Actually, I don't hear the rain driving against the windows, anymore, did it stop or....nope, just rain. sigh.

Enjoy the winter wonderland and your cozy home and family!

Love, Katy

Oh goodness. I have to ask where you got your little bauble lights from. They make me so nostalgic. They remind me of the ones my Gran an Grandad had on their tree - they dated back to the forties I think. Are they a fairly recent purchase?

So magical indeed. I wish I could be there. I wish it snowed where I live, although it's pretty cold here in Portugal! I love this season. Thanks for sharing such beauty.

Hi there!
I've been a follower of your blog for some time and was quite interested to see that you did a similar trip to mine - a snowy adventure! The landscape changes so much with snow. I was hoping to see a robin or two but we did come across some interesting animals!
