Time at home with comforting, cosiness around is definitely required. There is much cuddling, dvd watching and slumping going on and slowly, slowly he is brightening up. Funny how quiet the house is when Little A is off colour, very odd.
So while the sun shone yesterday I got to play with my new tiny plastic greenhouse (a present from mum) and moved the cosmos (Dazzler and Sensation) seedlings into their new home while I enjoyed the view from my potting bench (do excuse the laundry!).
And while little man curled up with daddy, big brother and I had a quick whizz around the car boot sale in town and brought home dinosaurs and racing cars to cheer a small boy up and pretty cups to make me smile too.
There might be a bit more gardening this afternoon if the rain has eased off but for now I'm off for a morsel more of this. Apple and raspberry crumble made with the last of the autumn harvest. Hope you are having a delicious Sunday too.

Love the cups you found - very pretty :)

My big man (hubby) has it this weekend, I had it last. Not fun so I feel for him. Amazing how plans have to change.
I've not even planted my seeds yet! So behind I might meet myself coming forward at this rate!
Love your tea cups, what a pretty find.

Poor little chap, tummy bugs are the pits.
I have sown cosmos too, yours are looking a bit chunkier than mine! Dreaming of a garden full of summer colour...
Hope the little 'un is better soon and that nobody else goes down with the bug. I love washing on a line - all clean and fresh smelling, being blown dry by the wind. That crumble looks scrumptious!

Hope your little man feel better soon. My daughter had the same thing the other week and then a week later it came back for a second bout. She's on the mend now. Gorgeous cups and I could just eat that crumble. Lx
Gosh it seems like yesterday that I was collecting dinosaurs at the carboot! My little angel is 17 now, your tales bring back such lovely memories for me.

What a lovely mum you are.....I so remember the feeling of being cared for as a little one by mum...really no better feeling in the world...and all your treasures!!! Maybe next weekend will bring a family hike!! Hope the little man is better soon!!
I hate it when they are poorly. I love to see washing blowing in the breeze, managed to get some air dried here for the first time in ages. Also did a bit of sewing in the afternoon sunshine, had to wear a cardy, but it was just warm enough. Have a lovely week. dev x
I hope your little man feels better soon Steph.
I've got everything crossed we are rid of the lurgies - for quite sometime.

Oh dear, hope the little one is feeling better soon
Your photos are lovely. You didn't need to excuse the washing. I think washing blowing on a line is a lovely sight. Especially as I don't have one and have to use a maiden inside! All the best to your little boy x
Those cups are super cute!
Hope your lovely little son is much better today. You made the best of the weekend anyway - love those pretty cups. Karen X
Sorry to here your little one is ill, hope he is feeling better now. I have passed on a blog award to you on my blog, don't worry if you don't want to take part its quite a bit of work.
Such pretty cups..and a yummy crumble! Hope your little one feels better soon. :0)
I hope your son is beginning to feel better. It's amazing how often plans have to be changed when you have little ones... I have Miss P at home this week, my work put on hold again. I sometimes wonder how I would manage if I had a full time job out there. I couldn't see the employers being understanding about me having to take so much time off over the year every time Miss P is poorly. None of my friends or family live nearby so I can't rely on anyone. I have to be thankful that I am self employed.
That crumble looks absolutely delicious.

Hope your little one is all better soon. I bet that washing smells gorgeous, having dryed in that fresh spring air - can't be beaten!
oooo that crumble looks gooood! xxx
I love your blog but never visit often enough. Its always a delight to see what youve been upto, and im always scanning your shelves for vintage book titles and then adding them to my Amazon wishlist!
I hope your little boy feels better soon, ive just got over a stomach bug and it wasnt very nice at all.
Aqeela xx
What a lovely blog you have ,I have recently joined blog land and am finding it most enjoyable .
Warm regards, Kim
Hope the little people at your house are feeling much better now. The fruit crumble looks delicious! I love all the green space around your home... the view is just beautiful! I personally love seeing laundry hanging on the line... do you know that there are a lot of communities here in the USA that prohibit clothslines? Really ridiculous!! Such an easy way to cut down on energy (electricity) consumption, but it's not allowed!

I'm just stopping by to say that I've chosen your blog for an award if you'd like to accept it! I received an award today which asked me to link to 10 other blogs, so I decided to pass it on to you! The details are in my post here
