Parish Notice

Hello everyone, do hope you're having a smashing weekend.

I've decided to change things a little here as you can tell. Last time I tried this some people couldn't find things and I also had some complaints too.

Hope this spring clean doesn't cause problems for followers but I decided to go ahead and change my style because, well frankly I need it.  I'm feeling tired and in need of inspiration while this cold, dreary winter continues to drag on.

Curlew Country is six years old this summer and I and what I blog about has evolved over time. An update and a refresh is long overdue I think.

I'm not a designer so it's just a template change really but it feels more me, for the me I am now. You can also choose for yourself which format you'd like to read my blog in by choosing from the drop down menus on the left of the header bar. I've published in Magazine style but really, the choice is yours.

I'll make some other changes like removing the word verification irritant on comments which I know is a pain. Please let me know if you have any troubles but most of all, thanks for keeping visiting. It means a huge amount and I'm very grateful xxx

hellooo Steph, 6 years-woweee the time flies, i know we've never met but your blog has really been a friend- a pick-me-up when I needed cheering up and a pleasure to see your posts through the seasons- A real inspiration...keep at it Steph, and, well change is good...i had a try at a new header and had two rather unhappy bloggers email me, but they'll settle down to the new style. xx

ooh how, exciting, there are so many ways to view your blog now, I like the mosiac look. This isn't a complaint but I can't find a blog list anywhere, is there one? x

It's your blog, Steph so you should decide how it looks. Lots of folks are resistant to change (me included) but usually it's just a case of getting used to the new which takes a bit of effort. Sue's comment above did make me laugh, good on her! 6 years, crikey, that is a achievement.

The new look is great, I wouldn't know where to start to make changes to mine but I seem to be able to navigate your ok. I really like the "new you"!

Hi Steph
I've been following you blog for a while now but never got round to making a comment. But today's the day! Love your new blog layout. It is simple but stylish. I was lucky enough to get tickets to see the Leonardo de Vinci exhibition in London. One of his quotes was on the wall - I think it describes your new blog perfectly

'Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication ' - Leonardo would definitely approved of the new layout!!

Take care

Love Portia xxx

Hello Steph, I do like the new look you've adopted, and glad that I clicked back for a second view. On my first visit, I couldn't immediately figure out how to get into an individual post, and find where the comment option was. Slow, aren't I?

It looks lovely - but it doesn't matter what I think - you like it and that's all that really matters :-)

Change is always refreshing...much like moving the furniture around. Whatever the style you deliver in...as long as it's you...writing to us...it doesn't much matter what the layout is. Sending good wishes from the U.S. - Take care. - Sophia
