At Home

It's been lovely just to potter around at home this weekend and tick off a few things on our very long to do list.

New sofas and a carpet are on the way at long, long last. After eight years we're finally in a place where we can start to make an impression on this little house of ours.

Later we managed to stock up in town at the butcher and the green grocer and call in for coffee at our favourite cafe while the rain hammered down.

Sunday so far has been beautiful. Woody ran a half marathon this morning and then we walked across the fields to the new/old village pub for a rather hearty lunch in the sunshine. Just my sort of day.

Thanks so much to everyone for your lovely comments recently, especially on my new look blog and all the local bloggers in this neck of the woods. So lovely to hear from you all, thanks. Hope you're having a smashing weekend too xxx

Just catching up with you a bit Steph - I am finding more and more that I look at Instagram first, especially as time is short. Your Blog is looking great. I really wanted to go to Blogtacular, was actually in London but was at the civil partnership of some wonderful friends. Looks inspirational though. Next year...

I agree, I think it's good for the soul to take time out from rushing hither and thither and just make your nest more comfortable, it's certainly something we've been trying to do more of. I love your beautiful wooden chest and the colour of your flowers is fab! Antonia x

I love the rural feel of your photos, so very pretty. It sounds like you had my favourite kind of weekend - pottering but productive too. x

Hi Steph I cannot believe that it is 8 years since you moved into your house, I remember it so well. We were only saying its 6.5 years since we moved here, where does time go, we are now empty nesters and have a grandson!!

Curlew Country is looking very beautiful this summer. I loved seeing one of Celia's cards on the shelf in the first photograph, too.

Best wishes. xo

Hi Steph!

I love the look of your 'neck of the woods' and I'm so loving living up this way.

Here's hoping for tea and cake soon - you'll have to show me all the fab walks.

I just love all your photos. Of course it makes me long for England and Scotland, the scenery where we live is so different. But, it is a joy to experience the life of others through blogs.
