Our year so far has been rather fantastic I have to say. New opportunities and big changes have been the flavour of these first few snowy, chilly months.
For me it's meant goodbye to great colleagues but hello to a wonderful new job (you might guess where from the picture...) I'm based in a historic working pottery, promoting the amazing products manufactured there as well as the skills and craftsmanship that create them, plus wonderful events and partnerships too. There is a lot of pinching myself going on!
This is my very first week and there's a huge amount to learn. All my energies are going into it as well as family life so unfortunately, just for the time being, my blogging may be even more sporadic than my regular weekly post.
I hope you can bear with me because I still enjoy this blogging lark as much as ever and appreciate all your thoughtful and supportive visits and comments so much. Thanks especially for the huge response to my recent posts (especially the dresser one!) which really seemed to strike a chord. So sorry I've not been able to respond very much but the past few weeks have been so full of applications, CVs and interview preparations as you can imagine.
You can follow me on Instagram (CurlewSteph) and Twitter (@CurlewSteph) if you use those platforms which I'll carry on posting to in the meantime.
Back very soon .... Xxx

Steph, I was sipping coffee from my Robin mug when I clicked on this new post from you. Huge congratulations to you on becoming part of a fabulous company. I'll soon be drying my dishes with a teatowel featuring a map of Eastwood Works, a place I hope to visit some day.
(Knowing that you are now part of that company adds to my appreciation of EB's wisdom and taste.)

Congrats on the new job and it sounds like a new passion!! I'll start following you on Instagram and here also. You don't have to answer me back just enjoy this new adventure and your family!!! Spring is coming also!!
What a wonderful news! And what an excellent employer do you have!!! I adore Emma Bridgewater and started to collect but now am a stockist of this wonderful pottery. I Wonder, do they still have the polka dot Aga? I owns an Aga, and my shop is called Quilt it & DOTTY so one day hope to replace the front of my Aga with the polka dot facade. Maybe we will see each other one day, because my dream is to visit the factory and paint some of my own muggies.
Oh Wow - have lots of her mugs!! Well done and hope you enjoy the new challenge.
Hey I am new to your blog. Liked the frehshness of it.
Good luck wit your new start. Keep blogging
Oh My Gosh! What a fabulous job! I seriously need some new pottery pieces to adorn my house...:D I just popped over here from Queen B -Creative Me because I saw that polka dot mug and just had to investigate! Am I ever glad that I did pop over! :D I will be back for many more visits so I can see all the eye candy! Over here in the US (New Hampshire to be precise) we don't seem to get this kind of gorgeous pottery. Since shipping has gotten so crazy out of control I don't imagine I will be able to afford the beautiful pieces that come out of your pottery but I can come look and dream!
Hugs for now from a new friend from across the pond,
