Enjoying...

*** A treat of a weekend - summer in springtime. And looks what's turned up in my hedge. After five years of wondering where I could squeeze in a cherry tree in our tiny garden - one's appeared from nowhere and bloomed for a fortnight in amongst the hawthorne.
*** Splashing about in a shallow stream and making new friends.
*** Spring bulbs on the kitchen table
*** Spring flowers on the verges and in the garden
*** A new / old garden chair that I can't decide if it should get a re-paint in cream or sagey green?
*** Feeling the sun of my face, back on my bench with a brew in hand
*** And my camera being fixed at last and getting back into blogging!

Gorgeous photos! For what it's worth, I'd leave the chair exactly as it is. I have a similar one (in similar condition) that I keep in the bathroom and I love its distressed shabby look.

I've missed you, the last couple of weeks. I'm glad that your camera is feeling better and I'm so glad for your pleasant weekend with the lovely spring weather. I always appreciate the cheery, happy, simple pleasures that you share. These things make me so happy, too, and I really appreciate you resonating spirits that are out there in blogland.

Your grass looks so green! I've wanted a weeping cherry for several years, now. The first year, on April Fool's day - just before it bloomed, the beaver chomped it and took it away when no one was looking. Then, last year, right before the new one was about to bloom, a huge tree fell on it - snapping off several prominent branches. This year - it's grown and I'm looking forward to it!!!

What a fun gift for you to find one in the hedge and that it would bloom so generously!!! =]

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Lovely photos - so nice to have Spring on the way - we're up in your neck of the woods for a week in August staying near Swythamley - can you recommend anything nice to do locally to suit either 15,16 and 19yo teenagers, elderly grandparents or both?

I would go for the sagey green if it were mine. That said, I have a distressed white one as my dressing table chair and that looks fine too. Decisions, decisions....Dev x

Hi Steph
Definitely sagey green. you will do a better job if get a spray can - I think B&Q do a nice green it gives a better coverage than a brush.

Dear Steph,

I am so glad that you leave us a new post. I missed watching your lovely pictures and your lovely comments. The toad looks so amazing.
I was out for jogging at our lake in the near of our home and there were a lot of toads. It was nearly not possible to go on jogging. Amazing!Sage green would be nice for your chair. Take care. Have a wonderful weekend with a lot of sun. Nicole xxx
