This was the last time I felt the golden rays of autumn were still touching us.
A lovely Sunday afternoon over the hills in Derbyshire at the farm at Chatsworth House.
A golden afternoon admiring fancy hens, counting piglets and climbing all over the fabulous adventure playground.
The boy's love it here and it brought back sweet memories of gentle afternoons we've spent there since they were little.
As the afternoon wore on the sun dropped lower and cast golden shadows all around.
We drank delicious hot chocolate as it got chillier and dusk fell.
A special, beautiful afternoon. xxx
We are lucky enough to live close to Chatsworth and have also spent many a happy day there. We are planning a tootle over in the next week or so for a lovely long wintery walk.
I love Chatsworth I used to paddle in the waterfall when I was a child. I live in Cornwall now but my parents still live in Sheffield and we go whenever I'm visiting.
wowza! steph!, those Autumn leaves look so beautiful- such a lovely place to take your boys- what a lovely mother they have x
Gorgeous photos, looks like a really lovely day. And those Autumn leaves make you want to just jump in them!
Gorgeous photos - we love Derbyshire - we took my mum out to the Cromford Mill for lunch. It is a few years since we visited and I can certainly recommend the man with the plant stall and the beautiful gifts in the shop called Arum-Lilie Designs...and of course we ended our day at Chatsworth at the farm shop at Pilsley for afternoon tea and a wander around the shop looking at all the specialty foods then treating ourselves to one or two of their homemade Mushroom pies for tea.
Definitely hot choc season. We're not too far from Chatsworth - we must pop back :)
