Everything else is very bland and cold and I'm desperate for a change and lucky, lucky us we're off here again on Monday for a few days of fun in the forest. I'm so excited, absolutely can't wait! Even if the weather is grim (probably) we will be away somewhere else, not having to think about work or chores or how messy and dull the garden is. There'll be lots of swimming, throwing ourselves down water flumes, bike riding and generally having a bit of family r&r.
Grandma is coming too which always adds a bit more fun for the boys and means that Woody and me get to do one our favourite things - going to the waterpark all by ourselves in the evening. Acting like 13 year olds always does us the power of good!
I'm really looking forward to a change of scene, fresh air and coming home to hopefully see some crocuses peeping through. Have a lovely week.

I promise spring is on the way- while its been frosty in Oxford the last few mornings, the days have been warmer. And spring moves at some thing like 2/3 north, slowing for each decent so it will be with you soon! Hope you enjoy the forest!

Have a great time Steph and with luck (!) spring will be showing by the time you get back. Golly, I am so optimistic aren't I? It's blooming freezing here!!! x
Enjoy your holiday, how lovely to be going away in February. Hope you get some warm weather. Rain like stair rods here today all the roads and lanes covered in sheets of water instead of snow, so not as pretty as last week. Dev x

what a truly gorgeous blog. I just found you via the dorset cereal blog awards website and I'm so glad I did. I had to go and make a coffee and come back to look through all your lovel pics :o)
Emotions! Geesh!! Something we sometimes have to deal with. I have a frightening and draining and long term situation in my life and I've just spent a couple of hours not avoiding the subject and reading about it on the computer. I decided to just end up this session with a look at your site. Good idea it was too. What's funny is that as I scrolled down through all of your "floral wonders" posts I started to get teary eyed from the relief but when I hit the floral pillows and actually started to cry it made me laugh! I love pillows. hmmm!
I can't avoid the emotions but I can roll my eyes at them. Anyway, thanks so much for the uplift!
what lovely photographs. Do I spy a collection of jugs (one of my own thrifting weaknesses!).
a real treat of a blog.
